ICYS - Youth Support Coordinator (YSC) Program

Supports students in years 10, 11 and 12 who are at risk of disengaging from school to address barriers to engagement (school based barriers or external social emotional barriers) and/or to assist with transition to further education/training and employment. 

ICYS YSC’s are based in 5 local State High Schools:

• Ipswich SHS – 4 days/week
• Redbank Plains SHS – 4.5 days/week
• Woodcrest State College – 2 days/week
• Springfield Central SHS – 1 day/week
• Centenary SHS – 1 day/week

YSC’s can assist with linking to services within or external to the school to assist young people address their barriers to engagement.

YSC’s can transport young people to external appointments, conduct home visits and advocate for the student.
