About Us

Our Diabetes Educator will share with you information specific to your situation and can provide ongoing support as you learn more about what this diagnosis means for you.

  • Do you, or a family member have diabetes? Come and see Alison!
  • Have you just been diagnosed with diabetes? Come and see Alison!
  • Have you been told by the GP that you have prediabetes or are prediabetic? Come and see Alison!

Type 1 diabetes support

  • Provide information about what it is and how it impacts your health
  • Manage medication
  • Meals plans
  • Eye and feet care

Type 2 diabetes support

  • Provide information about what it is and how it impacts your health
  • Delay the need for medication with health eating and exercise support
  • Help with transition to medication use
  • Support for diet and overall health

Diabetes education is available to every patient of CRAICCHS who has prediabetes or diabetes—discuss with your doctor for a referral. A Nurse or Health Worker will contact you with your appointment details.
