Hervey Bay Housing Coaliton

Provides long term community housing for people in need of accommodation. Hervey Bay Housing Coalition is a not for profit community based organization that is run under a Tenant's Cooperative model- board members are tenants. HBHC currently managers 54 properties that are rented out to tenants. All accommodation seekers must be registered with the Department of Housing and Public works who prioritize waiting lists by need.  When a vacancy arises in a HBHC property, the Department is notified and refers suitable applicants. All applicants for housing must go through the Department of Housing and Public Works, filling out an application which is submitted and assessed.
