parkrun - Meadowbrook

The run starts at the very end of the road through the park, adjacent to the turnaround carpark. Starting on the concrete path between the playground and the large picnic shelter. Head northwest to the T junction and turn right. Continue until you cross over a bridge and take the left hand fork at approx 0.5km then follow until the path reaches another T junction at the river and turn right. At approx 1.4km there is another fork, take the left one again and cross another bridge, keeping the river on your left hand side. Once you reach the small lake, take a left turn to go around it in a clockwise direction, there are 2 bridges and a short distance of dirt pathway between them. Follow the concrete path back to large picnic shelter. This is one lap which needs to be done a second time. At the end of the second lap continue past the picnic shelter to the T junction, turn right and go around the tree and head back across the grass to the finish line. Getting There Location of startThe run starts on the concrete path between the playground and the large picnic shelter. Getting there by public transportLoganlea Train station 1.8km (21-minute walk). Fast trains from centre of Brisbane make this an ideal ‘tourist’ suburban parkrun for visitors staying in Brisbane. Local buses 4405, 560, 562 stop at nearby Berendt Court but may not run early enough on Saturday morning. Please consult Translink website for up to date timetables before travel. Getting there on footFrom Loganlea Station walk East to park at end of Armstrong Road. Getting there by roadIf driving south from Brisbane along the Pacific Motorway, take Exit 24 and turn left onto Winnetts Road. Turn left onto the overpass, cross over the motorway and drive down Loganlea Road for approximately 3.3km Turn left onto Armstrong Rd, as per the signs for Logan Hospital. Drive past the hospital entrance for another 1km until you reach the entrance gates of Riverdale Park. If heading north towards Brisbane along the Pacific Motorway, take Exit 24 Daisy Hill, and turn left onto Loganlea Road. Drive approximately 3km and turn left onto Armstrong Rd, as per the signs for Logan Hospital. Drive past the hospital entrance for another 1km until you reach the entrance gates of Riverdale Park. If using the Logan Motorway tollroad, take Loganlea Road exit. If coming from the East, you’ll turn left onto Loganlea Road, and drive approximately 450m before turning left onto Armstrong Road, and follow instructions as above. If coming from the West, you’ll turn left at the roundabout at the end of the offramp, onto University Drive. At the end of University Drive, turn left onto Loganlea Road, and continue approximately 700m before turning left onto Armstrong Rd, and follow instructions as above.
