About Us
Hearing health screenings are carried out at our clinics. Follow-up treatment is available and where necessary and clients may be referred on to the appropriate specialist for further treatment.
The Hearing Health Coordinator will perform a hearing assessment which includes otoscopy, tympanometry, and general discussion on hearing and behavioural health with you. They will then consult with Doctors, Medical Specialists, Audiologists, Speech Pathologists, and other allied health professionals, if needed.
Signs of a potential hearing problem may include
- not responding when spoken to
- asking “what?” all the time or doesn’t appear to listen
- watching the speakers face closely as if they are trying to lip read
- looking around to see where the sound is coming from
- sitting very close to a loud TV
- pulling at their ears
- having a particularly quiet or loud voice
- having poor performance or declining performance at school or work
- being easily distracted
- appearing to not like or avoiding socialising
- erratic or aggressive behaviour
- reoccurring ear infections
