Life Without Barriers - Out of Home Care

LWB recognise that healthy families are the key to strong and vibrant communities. Our Family Support Services reach out to families at risk of having a child placed in care or support families who already have a child in care. Where a decision is made to pursue reunification of a family we work closely with the family to identify your strengths and develop a stable and supportive home environment. Through our Family Support Services we also help families relieve stress, conflict and anxiety and we work with you with respect to parenting practices and household routines. When a child or young person cannot live at home we provide out-of-home care services including residential care or supported accommodation

For young people not suited to foster care we offer residential care with 24hour on-site trained carers and extra staff or specialist support as required. We also arrange family contact, educational planning, clinical support services, cultural planning, transition support and respite as part of our wrap-around support model.
