Townsville Boardgamers at Jubilee Bowling Club

Townsville Boardgamers inc. organises events (e.g. regular game nights) to play modern board- and card games. Board games are a great way to socialize in our hectic society where interaction with others continues to take a back seat to careers or electronic entertainment enjoyed alone. In the past two decades, board games have emerged that promote family friendly play with cooperative, strategic or deductive interactions beyond what is seen in Risk or Monopoly.

We aim to raise awareness of these games by hosting events in a friendly and relaxing environment. Our welcoming community facilitates meeting new people, making friends and bringing along family, regardless of skill level.

We meet fortnightly on Wednesday nights (odd weeks) at Jubilee Bowling Club. Entry is currently $6. A $20 membership fee applies after the 3rd visit to cover insurance and a TBG inc. start-up fee (until July 2015). Guardians have to look after children under 18 years.
