About Us

The Broome mental health inpatient unit known as Mabu Liyan which translates as 'a place of good spirit' is a thirteen (13) bed unit accepting both voluntary and involuntary patients. Aboriginal mental health staff are on hand to help bridge the gap and support the cultural needs of patients.
