The Instrumentals Community Orchestras

The Instrumentals provide quality, accessible and inclusive community ensemble music making for primarily string and woodwind players of all ages. We currently offer 3 ensembles: The BEAN SPROUTS - for brand new, have-a-go beginners. Borrow an instrument and enjoy small group lessons with other beginners. The BUDS - for kids who have been learning for a year. The Buds learn technique and are introduced to the skills of ensemble playing. The STRING BEANS - for kids with a bit more experience. The Beans develop their ensemble technique and performance skills. The DORKESTRA - an adult group who are mostly re-acquainting themselves with an earlier musical interest or joining ensemble for the first time which is friendly, relaxed and un-auditioned. The AWKWARDSTRA - a new adult group, established 2014, who are mostly re-acquainting themselves with an earlier musical interest or joining ensemble for the first time, which is friendly, relaxed and unauditioned.
