Humanitarian Entrant Health Service

The assessment includes screening for communicable disease, screening for mental illness and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), reviewing immunisation status and commencing catch up immunisations, if required. Referrals are made to specialty tertiary clinics, as required. HEHS aims to identify health issues which may affect the wellbeing of newly arrived refugees and to detect and treat infectious diseases of public health importance.
