About Us

The Taxi Users Subsidy Scheme has been introduced by the Government of WA to foster greater independence and improve the quality of life of people with high support needs. The scheme is administered by the Department of Transport. The scheme is designed for people with severe disabilities in one of the following categories - permanent inability to use public transport, total permanent dependence on a wheelchair, high support needs with mobility, legal blindness, conditions of cognitive impairment necessitating constant assistance with and supervision for travel on public transport.To become a member phone the Department of Transport on 1300 660 147 for further information. Fees: Transport pay 50% of taxi fare if person not in wheelchair, 75% for person in wheelchair

Available To: Must be a permanent resident of WA

Supporting Disabilities: All disabilities, must meet eligibility criteria
