Ponds Music Academy provides a variety of age appropriate Piano Music courses, since 2013. Your child will enjoy music lessons! Specific activities, music games, lodes of fun and expirienced teachers make's our lessons unforgetable and yet deeply educational. Encore SMART System integrates all the essential music learning elements into one comprehensive.

Junior Level

This 2 year holistic music course offers an exciting range of musical experiences over 4 levels. Children meet and get to play their instrument right from the start, sing along with the music, participate in story-telling and games, play percussion instruments and engage with music through gestures and movement activities. Flash cards ensure that music literacy is developed from Day 1.

Although the focus is on the development of piano skills, our teaching approach is not a traditiona; one of' read and play'. Emphasis is placed experiencing music through listening and then imitating through singing, verbalization and appropriate movement. Transferring this knowlege to the keyboard and dveloping reading skills are the final steps in the process.

The desired learning outcome is one where students are not restricted to simply playing what they read but are also able to play what they hear.To achieve this,the teaching method includes the following elements,each of which is necessary for effective music learning.

Primary Level

Achiver Level

Pre-Requisite levels required - Students progress to the Achiever Series after they have completed either the Junior, Primary or Accent on Keys course. This 4 book series takes students to a higher level of artistry, technical proficiency and creative flair. Student learning is extended to include inventive skills of improvisation and keyboard harmony. The graded curriculum is aligned to several examination syllabi.

This early childhood program is contemporary and vibrant. It lays the foundation for a positive relationship with music that students will enjoy throughout their lives.

The Kinder Beat program utilises groundbreaking early childhood education principles and introduces young children to music in a way that stimulates all of their senses. It features many activities suitable for students aged from 2 to 4 years, the level of creativity and essential musical foundations can be seen on every page and heard on every sound track.

With characters such as Kinder Bear, Kinder Roo and Joey, Kinderbeat provides a truly exciting and unique start to music. During Kinderbeat lessons a variety of musical instruments and props are used to stimulate the senses and enrich the learning experience.
