About Us

History - Our group started in 1996 and has been sponsored by the Anglican Church in Coffs Harbour for almost 30 years as a service to the community. To date, over 300 people have been supported by our group.

Purpose - We meet to support, encourage and listen to each other within a safe, friendly, confidential environment, whilst gaining knowledge and having fun.

Who we are? – We have all had a breast cancer diagnosis. Some of us have been recently diagnosed, some are undergoing treatment(s) and others are several years down the track. Some have metastatic breast cancer.

What happens at meetings? – Laughter, learning, sharing and caring – Guest speakers keep us informed about the latest breast cancer information, treatments and resources, as well as practical tips on diet, exercise and managing stress.

Each year we participate in

  • Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea (May meeting)
  • Pink Ribbon Day (October event)
  • Cancer Council’s Relay For Life
  • Daffodil Day (August)

Monthly meetings –We meet on 1st Tuesday of each month (except January & December) from 2pm to 3pm. Meeting Venue is Shearwater Lodge located near back entrance to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital.
