South West Rocks Dragon Boat Club

We paddle our dragon boat on the beautiful Macleay River, South West Rocks, 3 times/week, all year around.  Sundays 8:15am, Wednesdays 5:15pm daylight saving (6am winter) and Fridays 6am.  

We are a social club that likes to compete at regattas on the mid north coast, going as far north as Ballina and south to Forster.

Everyone over the age of 12 years are welcome no matter what your ability or fitness level.

The 4th Sunday in the month is the best session for new paddlers, although new paddlers are welcome to come along to any session.  It is preferable that you ring or email us first to ensure we will be paddling that session (not away at a regatta), and that we don't have too many paddlers. All you need to bring is a bottle of water, a hat and shoes that you don't mind getting wet.  We will provide the paddle and train you to paddle a dragon boat (with up to 19 other paddlers).  It will cost $5 to paddle for approx. 1 hour.  If you decide you would like to join the club, you can discuss that with us then.  New paddlers can have up to 3 paddles before registering.
