Kempsey Neighbourhood Centre
About Us
Driving Change is a free program delivered by Kempsey Neighbourhood Centre to support people in the wider Kempsey community to obtain their driver’s licence. The program assists participants through every stage of the licensing process, including preparing for the Driver Knowledge Test, obtaining required identification, completing the Hazard Perception Test, completing supervised driving hours with the support of trained volunteer mentors and undertaking P-plate tests.
To get started, community members can visit the Neighbourhood Centre to complete a registration form. Those who already have a Learner licence or photo identification card are encouraged to bring it along, although this is not essential to begin the process. The program is fully funded by the New South Wales Department of Transport through the Driver’s Licence Access Program, making it completely free for participants.
For more information or to discuss eligibility and next steps, please contact the program coordinator.
