About Us

I see people who experience situational issues but also for more ongoing challenges where they have noticed repeated patterns occurring in their life. This can be concerns relating to depression, stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, grief or loss, identity, self-esteem, life transition, substance use or addiction, work pressure or burnout, child/adulthood trauma or simply to connect with a therapist to maintain mental health. I also work with clients who experience situational or ongoing suicidal thoughts.

I work from an attachment-based framework which means my intention is to create a sense of safety and trust throughout the counselling process. I believe therapy is a collaborative process in which a cornerstone of the experience is in the relationship.

At a foundation level, I work from a humanistic, person-centred, and relational framework. For me this means presenting authentically, empathetically and fostering the relationship for the therapeutic process. I also come with the belief you are the expert of your world and take into consideration the many multi-facets of being.

I am an integrative therapist that draws on a diverse range of modalities and approaches depending on the individual person. I describe my therapeutic style as collaborative, curious and genuine, whilst utilising trauma-informed principles, and a strength-based approach. I have worked with complex and diverse populations, and I am often in awe of the courage and willingness to be vulnerable.

The counselling space provides an opportunity to unpack your unique lived experiences, hold space to process, respectfully be empowered and find your sense of self.

It can take courage to consider reaching out for support, particularly if it is the first time. It is not uncommon to feel apprehensive about engaging in therapy even though it can be very beneficial in many ways. Just showing up, and maybe even with a little willingness to be vulnerable, is progress.
