Royal Far West

Our Paediatric Developmental Program (PDP) provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment, diagnosis, review and treatment service for children with complex developmental and behavioural issues. This is a specialist service with expertise in supporting complex families, trauma-informed care, and family-centred practice.

Children and their families travel to Royal Far West in Manly for a week-long stay, during which they have access to a multidisciplinary team that includes:

• neuro developmental paediatrics

• child and adolescent psychiatry

• speech pathology

• psychology

• occupational therapy

• social work

• special educators

• dietetics

PDP clients also have access to our orthoptic, opthamology and dental services while they are on site at Manly.  

We also offer dental services and run an orthodontic program for our children. 

Families stay on-site in RFW care by parent accommodation, and children attend the RFW School during the school term.  

After school, children are invited to participate in the RFW Recreation Program, which involves a broad range of exciting activities aimed about building confidence, reinforcing health and well-being, and having fun.
