Port Writers

Port Writers offers you the chance to connect, network, socialise and hone your writing craft. A friendly and supportive group, we aim to help you be a better writer and give you opportunities to learn and explore your writing. It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or have been writing for years, PWI gives you a place to learn and belong.

We meet each month to practice and develop our writing. Guest speaker workshops are held by successful authors and writers 3-4 times a year. Once a month, we meet up for an informal coffee and chat mid-week too.

As a writing group, we have members across the range - from people who dabble with writing to published authors. Genres vary: memoir, romance, crime, adventure, children's, historical, non-fiction, fantasy, and more. The common interest is in writing, wanting to connect with other writers, to learn, develop and enjoy discussing all things writing.
