parkrun - Wauchope

The course starts at the Rocks Ferry Reserve down on the Hastings River’s edge near the amenity block. The course is a one and half lap course following the river path with views of the river the entire course. It starts by heading to the eastern boundary of Rocks Ferry Reserve near the boat ramp, before turning back the same way heading west along the river path to the Railway bridge where the path deviates to the right behind some houses and continues west to the boundary of the Wauchope High School. At this point runners turnaround and head east again along the same path back to the start point on Rocks Ferry Reserve completing the first lap. From here a repeat of the first laps occurs until at a point west just before reaching the intersection of Randall street (before the Railway bridge) where a turnaround occurs for runners to head back to Rocks Ferry Reserve for one final turn at the eastern boat ramp end of the reserve before finishing back at the start point. The course is mainly flat apart from a slight hill out of the Rocks Ferry Reserve which is done twice in the course. Facilities Toilets located at Rocks Ferry Reserve. Water bubblers located on course in River Street opposite Tennis Courts, water available at Rocks Ferry Reserve Toilet Block. Getting there on footFrom High Street Wauchope (Main Street of Wauchope) Head north on intersection of High Street and Wallace street until the end, turn right at the river and head east along Rocks Ferry Road. Once on Rocks Ferry Road you are on the course. Getting there by roadFrom the Oxley Highway Wauchope, turn right and head north into Randall Street past the Wauchope Railway Station, then right into Rocks Ferry Road and follow to the end to Rocks Ferry Reserve carpark.
