About Us

Promoting the fun and benefits of playing and singing together through the ukulele.

Members and visitors come together at monthly jams held in seven Brisbane locations- Coorparoo, Toowong, Albany Creek, Wavell Heights, Ferny Grove, Milton and West End. Our longest running and biggest jam is held on the first Wednesday of the month at the Coorparoo Bowls Club. BUMS Inc also runs ukulele concerts, workshops and the biennial SPRUKE Brisbane's Ukulele Festival. Check our website for details.

Enthusiastic members practise weekly with one of our three community bands, as well as a band for our under 18 associate members.

BUMS performing bands entertain at festivals and events all around Australia. Over the past few years, our members have performed at the Blue Mountains, Cairns, Melbourne, Newcastle, Redlands and Sunshine Coast ukulele festivals, The Gympie Muster and for local Pyjama Walks, Christmas events, the Red Hill fair, Brisbane on Parade, the successful World Record at the Valentine’s Busk, Brisbane City Sounds, the Brisbane Festival, and QPAC’s 30th Birthday Celebration Day, Green Jam and Lunchtime Live Program.
