About Us
BABI Youth and Family Service has a strong background and long-term history in providing support , counselling and community services to a diverse range of people, throughout Wynnum/Manly and the Redlands (Bayside). We specialize in working with marginalized and disadvantaged youth and their families in the local community. Services range from Individual and Family counselling, mediation, parenting groups, youth accommodation, support for students in schools, youth drop-in centre and delivering sport and recreational activities during school holidays. These services focus on youth participation and engagement, support and community development that promote the safety, growth and wellbeing of local young people and their families.
BABI responds to a large range of issues presented by disadvantaged and vulnerable young people (12-25) and families with whom we work, including domestic violence, child protection, family breakdown, trauma, homelessness, parenting challenges, social isolation/exclusion and marginalization. BABI provides young people and their families with support that encourages them to develop their strengths and their capacity to make positive life choices.
