IMPACT Community Services
About Us
IMPACT Community Services are here to provide essential support for families facing mental health challenges. Our dedicated team offers counseling, education, crisis intervention, and assistance in navigating the mental health system. A formal diagnosis of mental health conditions is not required to access Family Mental Health Support Services (FMHSS). We prioritise the well-being of the entire family unit and provide ongoing follow-up care. FMHSS provides flexible, responsive options for children and young people up to the age of 18 who are affected by, or at risk of mental health concerns, and their families.
Participants can expect offers of support for Intensive long-term intervention support, short-term immediate assistance or community outreach, mental health education and community development activities. The highest priority is given to vulnerable children, young people and their families including those from Indigenous or culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, children and families in contact with the child protection system, and young people transitioning from out-of-home care. Services will accept referrals of children and young people from any source, including self-referrals, and conduct an initial brief screening process to ensure Family Mental Health Support Services is the appropriate service for them.
Join us on the path to recovery and resilience, as we empower families to thrive.
