Home and Community Support Solutions FNQ is a specialist mental health provider delivering services to young people, adolescents and adults in the Cairns region who are Plan or Self Managed.

We provide quality services to those experiencing a range of health concerns, including complex mental health, ASD, ADHD, phobias and anxieties, mood disorders, acquired and traumatic brain injuries, cognitive and intellectual disabilities, and chronic disease.

Our aim is to reduce barriers to support and build independence and resilience in people experiencing mental health concerns and disabilities. Through ongoing mentoring and capacity building, our supports intend to help others develop habits and routines that promote wellbeing, as well as improve daily living and life skills.

Our qualified team have experience supporting people with psychosocial, cognitive and intellectual disabilities. We work with individuals and their families in a therapeutic, non-judgmental environment and deliver services using the Collaborative Recovery Model.

We offer a wide range of services including Home Organisation and Decluttering, Recovery Coaching and Individual and Group Skills Development programs that foster independence in people experiencing mental health concerns and disabilities.

Individual & Group Skills Development Programs

The team at Home and Community Support Solutions FNQ understand the importance of meaningful social connections and to be actively involved in pursuits that nourish the body and mind.

We offer innovative ways to increase skills and build confidence through practical training programs that empowers you to live the life you want.

Using skill-based learning techniques we build upon already existing knowledge and develop practical skills that can be applied across many areas of life.

All our programs are tailored to meet the need of the individual or group and are designed to increase independence in daily activities, life skills, and social and recreational participation.

Recovery Coaching

Our team of specialist mental health professionals provide Recovery Coaching services to people with psychosocial disability to live a full and balanced life. The team at Home and Community Support Solutions FNQ understand the types of support people need as they are both mental health qualified and have lived experience.

Our Recovery Coaching services support people to gain control of their lives and to manage complex challenges of daily living. We work collaboratively with people and their existing support networks to co-design, plan, and implement strategies for success. We take the time to listen and adjust our supports to meet the person where they are currently at along their recovery journey.

Home Organisation and Decluttering

We are passionate about supporting NDIS participants to improve their lives and increase life skills through home organisation and decluttering support.

Our services are designed to support participants to achieve plan goals through decluttering and organising the home, routines, and habits.

Our team will develop a specialised plan and provide coaching and encouragement, as well as practical support to declutter and organise the space while working through any needs or feelings that arise.

Through skills and capacity building activities our supports aim to set up habits to develop and increase daily living and social skills and implement systems and routines to keep the home and mind clutter free.
