Short -medium term accommodation for young people 16-25; includes living skill support; case planning. All Clients must be on a low income whether it be a pension, benefit or wage. The following priorities will be taken into account: Homelessness and insecure housing (e.g. living in a Shed, Car or Tent; Living in a hostel or refuge; received notice to leave or staying with friends or relatives). Standard of existing accommodation (for e.g. gross overcrowding; lack of water, heating or lighting; disrepair and dangerous structural conditions; isolation or not suitable for study). Medical factors. University studies. Receiving Youth Allowance or Austudy. When a vacancy occurs each application referred from the Department of Housing, will be looked at on its merits and will be offered to the applicant who has the greatest need or multiple priorities. When an offer of accommodation is given and the applicant rejects the offer, the applicant will then go to the bottom of the waiting list unless a valid reason can be given.
