About Us

The Mobile Women's Health Service is made up of specially trained registered nurses who provide a free and confidential service for women across Queensland, including Wide Bay. The service aims to improve the health and wellbeing of women in rural and remote areas of Queensland. We support all women, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and those from multicultural backgrounds. All services are visiting services and are by referral or appointment only.

Services we provide

The Mobile Women’s Health Service provides a range of clinical health services, support, health promotion and education on a range of topics for women including:

  • Alcohol and other drugs concerns
  • Bladder concerns
  • Breast care
  • Cervical screening
  • Contraception and family planning
  • Healthy bones / osteoporosis
  • Healthy lifestyles, including nutrition, weight, and stress management
  • Menopause and hormone replacement information
  • Puberty / menstrual issues
  • Relationship concerns, including domestic violence and sexual assault
  • Sexual health screening (limited)
  • Sexuality concerns
  • Smoking
  • Any other issues you’d like to discuss.
