We’re Parents
With 9 children between our families, we know what a big decision it is entrusting your children into someone’s early education or care centre. As owners and teachers, we are passionate about high-quality care and strong educational programs. These are the hallmarks of all our child care centres in Gold Coast.

We’ve Created Our Ideal Childcare Centre
As parents and teachers we know that when we were searching the Gaven for childcare, we looked for warmth, love and nurturing. (Having all food and nappies provided was an added bonus!) Ultimately we wanted someone to care for and educate our children as we would have done so ourselves. So we created early childhood environments where we were hands-on owners and the children of our centres were at the heart of all our decisions.
We also give your child the best start to their school life through our Queensland Government Kindergarten Program. This is facilitated by a Bachelor trained teacher.

Children Learn Through Playing
At Amaze’s Gaven Kindy, all our indoor and outdoor environments have been designed with the Early Years Learning Framework in mind, thereby maximising your child’s learning through play.
We know that having owners who are teachers, who are present and who are accessible in your child’s centre is fairly unique these days, so as we have found at our other centres, unfortunately, places fill fast.

Being present allows us to be committed to continuous improvement thereby giving your child an “Amaze-ing start to learning!”

Childcare Programmes

Early Years (6 weeks - 3 years)

The Amaze early years programme:

• Recognises individual differences and sets appropriate goals for each child.
• Educates the whole child – physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually.
• Responds to the needs of the child.
• Recognises children learn to co-operate, problem solve and think laterally.
  They learn language skills, basic mathematical concepts, persistence and concentration,
  the value of curiosity, self-confidence, co-ordination, healthy attitudes and values.

These skills are built on in the Kindergarten programme.

Kindergarten (3–5 years)

The kindergarten programme is provided for children in the year before they start school. We offer students a variety of developmentally, socially and culturally appropriate experiences. This programme is delivered by approved Early Childhood Education teachers. The Kindergarten Learning Guidelines underpin this programme.

• Whole group mat time (pre-literacy and pre-numeracy focus)
• Indoor activities
• Extended project activities
• Child centred play activities
• Outdoor play – free and structured
• Gross and fine motor activities
• Music

The structure of the day will allow for a rest/relaxation period.

Meals & Onsite Chef

While the kitchen is the heart of your home, Our Centre Kitchens are the Hearts of our Centres.

• Our chefs provide well balanced and nutritional meals perfect for growing little bodies
• Our menus and produce reflect the season to ensure freshness
• We love hearing about your favourite recipes from home so we can incorporate them into our menus
• Our menus are assessed regularly by Dietitians
• Catering for allergies is our specialty and not only do we have multiple checks and colour coding of plates
• We also provide an allergy band for your little one so no matter which of our team members are playing with your child on the day you can have peace of mind that they will know your child’s needs
