Gympie Cooloola Tourism

Gympie Cooloola Tourism Inc (GCT) is a Tourism Industry based not-for-profit Incorporated Association that works for its members and the benefit of the region generally.

This is achieved through promotion of GCT members through various means including its web site, projects, and other initiatives that support its members and tourism in the region. Industry development, product development, skills training and packaging and bundling tourism product are areas that GCT is also involved in GCT was born of the Cooloola Regional Development Bureau in 2008 after Council amalgamations when its Economic Development arm was taken on by Gympie Regional Council leaving GCT to dedicate its activities to tourism alone.  

GCT participates in partnership arrangements with other organsiatoins including Sunshine Coast Destination, Australia Tourism Data Warehouse, Conservation Volunteers Australia. GCT is a partner in Australia Nature Coast initiative with Fraser Coast Tourism, Sunshine Coast Tourism, Noosa Tourism, Great Sandy Biosphere and the Noosa Biosphere to promote the combined region at an international level.
