Northpoint Centre - Coburg North

We provide emergency and ongoing food relief to individuals and families who are doing it tough - no matter what their religious, background or personal situation. We do this in a caring and compassionate way that enable members of our community to enjoy a higher standard of living than would otherwise be possible. Long Table Dinners. Northpoint Centre provides a free multi-course dinner at Tullamarine and Melton. The food is supplied by us and cooked in out kitchen. We recently partnered with Second Chance, a charity that assists young [people in life skills, who help prepare, cook and serve delicious meals. It's a place for those in our community who are socially isolated to have an fun evening out and make new relationships. Community Food Hub. We rescue food from bakeries, supermarkets and local food distributors including Fare Share, Second Bite and Food bank. We make sure that there is enough to go around to help other charities, community organisations and schools so they can continue their important work in our community. Back to Work. Northpoint Centre works closely with employment organisations to assist people get job ready. Through this program we provide eligible individuals with Food Handling courses and certificates, Working with Children Certificates and job references for prospective employers. We provide our program participants with leadership skills, management skills, and work ethic that enable our program participants to gain meaningful employment. Our back to work program is open to all people of all ages and has been amazingly successful.
