Department of Sport and Recreation - Great Southern Region

Department of Sport and Recreation WA is a centre for sport and recreation resources it has a regionally based professional system to provide statewide services to non-metropolitan Western Australia and to meet needs on a local basis.The resources are available for individuals and groups of all abilities. Some of its objectives include to ensure maximum opportunities for people to participate in sports of their choosing, to the fullest extent of their desire and to increase opportunities and participation in sport and recreation, to promote higher standards of management practices, facilities and performance, to increase the health and fitness of the community, to nurture and support volunteers.
