parkrun - Bunbury

The start line sits adjacent the car park nearest the playground on the red footpath that runs along the outskirts of the big swamp. Starting in a westerly direction toward the ocean follow the footpath and head up the small hill to the lookout gazebo. Follow the pathway down the hill and turn left at the wooden bench seat. Head over the wooden bridge and follow the pathway around the swamp in a clockwise direction. The course is 2 full laps of the swamp with a short loop at the end. After the second full lap of the swamp there is another trip to the lookout gazebo but this time turn right at the bottom of the hill near the bench seat and finish in an anti clockwise direction. The finish line is adjacent the Big Swamp Wildlife park entry approx. 200m west of the start line. Each lap of the swamp is 2.1km with the final short loop being approx 800m to finish off the 5000m course. Facilities There is a toilet block and drink fountain available in the playground adjacent the start / finish area. Parking is available at the Big Swamp playground and wildlife park car parks adjacent the start / finish areas.
