Inclusion WA works with people with a disability who want to become involved in recreation and sport groups and activities, and the people/associations that want to support them in that. We do this by:Assisting people with a disability to determine their interests and passions, and to find, join and remain involved in a recreation or sport group or activity of their choice. Working with recreation and sport groups, clubs and facilities to encourage and assist them to include members with a disability. Supporting local councils and sport organisations and facilities to run sport skills programs for children and adults with a disability. Providing training to recreation and sport providers on how to attract and retain people with a disability as members. Providing training workshops to people with a disability who wish to better interrelate with the community and develop the capability to make positive life changes. Providing one-to-one support to people with a disability who live in supported accommodation to attend and become involved in community groups or activities of their choice. Coordinating two social clubs that are open to adults who experience difficulties in being part of their local community due to physical, sensory, cognitive or intellectual impairment. Club members enjoy new experiences and get out and about in Perth. Coordinating a disco held every month to which people with a disability are welcomed.
