About Us
Valued Independent People provides a flexible, home and neighbourhood, daytime occupation community access and participation service to people with a disability according to their needs. We also provide occasional emergency respite for consumers.We provide an intensive Alternative to Employment services to adults who live either at home with families or in hostels, according to individual needs. Activities include community access eg newspaper deliveries, horseriding, bowling, shopping, dining out, movies, picnics, swimming, library or centre based eg craft activities, music, cooking, exercise, independent living skills, sensory stimulation. The organisation is funded by the state government, managed by an independent Board of Management and staffed by 'Facilitators' or Carers, some of whom are 'Social Trainers' ie with a Human Services qualification.

Open: 8.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday, and after hours respite according to funding available
Available To: People with high support needs and/or intellectual or physical disabilities
