Dorset Community

Dorset Council has an approximate area of 3,300 km².

It is comprised of 30 suburbs including Alberton, Blumont, Boobyalla, Branxholm, Cape Portland, Cuckoo, Derby, Forester, Herrick, Jetsonville, Kamona, Legerwood, Lietinna, Lisle, Moorina, Musselroe Bay, Nabowla, Pioneer, Scottsdale, South Mount Cameron, South Springfield, Talawa, Telita, Tomahawk and Tonganah plus parts of another 5 suburbs.

It is comprised of the localities of Banca, Bridport, North Scottsdale, Ringarooma, Rushy Lagoon and Waterhouse plus parts of Gladstone, Mount William, Tayene and Upper Esk.

It is surrounded by the councils of Break O'day, George Town and Launceston City.

It is within the state electorate of Bass.

It is within the federal electorate of Bass.
