Excursions and Day Trips

Belconnen Community Service offers some great ways for older people to see something new and form friendships. Every month, the BCS Community Bus service offers two excursions to visit local attractions or enjoy lunch together. In addition, BCS also offers four trips per year where seniors can travel to interesting destinations around NSW.

One of the biggest challenges faced by people over 65 is social isolation. Loneliness is a well-documented health risk and sometimes getting out of the house and having a good time can be the best medicine.
