About Us

Gungaderra Homestead provides a hall (max capacity 40) and a meeting room (max capacity 10) that are available for hire.

An important part of Canberra’s history, Gungaderra Homestead forms part of an early collection of rural properties in the Gungahlin region which have been rejuvenated and preserved to be enjoyed by future generations.

CHC’s redevelopment of the original Gungaderra estate included the restoration of the heritage-listed homestead and the addition of 29 two-bedroom homes.

Completed in 2011, Gungaderra neighbors the prestigious Wells Station and was designed as a master planned community, retaining and celebrating the rural qualities of the property.

Gungaderra was operational as a farm during the late 1800s to early 1900s. The original residence was constructed circa 1900 and has been retained, along with the original machinery shed.

During the redevelopment, the homestead was refurbished as a community facility and includes an on-site Men’s Shed used by the wider Gungahlin community.

Quick Facts About The Region
