Com Active Inc. - Sinnamon Park

Com Active was founded in 2008 as a not-for-profit organisation to get people within our community healthy and active.

The focus has been on programs for children and people with disabilities in the Brisbane City Council and Moreton Bay Regional Council areas. Thousands of people have already benefited from our free holiday programs and subsidised school-term programs, providing fantastic opportunities for people to get active in our community.

We’ve seen all the benefits of keeping people socially engaged through programs so our scope now includes mobility scooters for the ageing population and for people with a disability. Mobility scooters provide independence and freedom for individuals with limited mobility.

Our objectives include working with local Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Ipswich councils to improve accessibility within the community, in particular with footpaths, crossings, ramps, street gutters and other mobility access points that connect our residents. We’ll also be working with other not-for-profit companies to support programs that encourage people to get active and mobile in our community.
