About Us

The QUT School of Optometry operates a comprehensive Optometry Clinic which is available to members of the public. Eye examinations are conducted by students under the direct supervision of fully qualified optometrists and are provided at no cost to the patient. All the patients attending the Optometry Clinic receive a comprehensive eye examination which includes a careful history and discussion of symptoms, measurements of vision and assessment of the patients visual requirements and a thorough check of eye health. If spectacles or contact lenses are indicated, the Clinic provides a complete dispensing facility. People eligible for services through Veterans Affairs are welcome. Free spectacles through the Queensland Hospital Scheme are available for holders of Pensioner Concession Cards or Health Care Cards.
