SANDBAG

SANDBAG is excited to announce the launch on Tuesday 9th June, 2020 of a new telephone counselling service, SANDBAG Connect, to assist the Brisbane North community through the impacts of COVID-19. 

This free, confidential service will offer counselling to adults, 18 years and older, each Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.   

Our number is easy to remember: 1800SANDBAG, that’s 1800 726 322. 

Our new service is a generalist phone counselling service operated in collaboration with QUT Master of Counselling students, which offers community members a chance to chat with one of our team about how the impacts of COVID-19 – job loss, financial strain, family conflict, social isolation (and more) – might be affecting them. 

SANDBAG also offers the following services: 

• Neighbourhood Centre support from Sandgate Community Centre 

• Domestic violence counselling and support 

• Disability Employment Service (DES) 

• Community Linking and Access Service (CLAS) 

• Skills and Training (via SQW) 

• SEED Parks and Property Maintenance
