parkrun - Logan River

Starting at the painted start line on the path, near the BBQ adjacent to the large undercover area, head north following the path keeping the river on your left, go under the bridge and turn right and to head onto the bridge. Turn around at the painted marker at the end of the bridge and follow the same route back to Peacock Ave. Turn around and head back towards the bridge turning at the painted markers near the grass triangle (just before going under the bridge) and head back to the finish line which veers to the left off the path between the large and small undercover areas and is between the black and white checked posts. Facilities As stated in the parkrun support pages, it is most important that children under 11 are accompanied (within reach) at all times by a parent or guardian. This is especially important as the course follows the path of the Logan River, and has paths leading to floating pontoons. There is a toilet block close to start/finish line. Taps are located near the starting line and at other locations on the course. Permanent exercise equipment is located around the course if you wish to improve your fitness before or after your parkrun. Getting there by public transportNA Getting there on footFrom Logan Street Beenleigh, turn into Pheasant Ave. Continue for 900m, then turn right into Peacock Ave. Continue for 100m then turn left onto the path at Logan River Parklands. Follow the path 500m to the start line. Getting there by roadIf driving south from Brisbane along the Pacific Motorway, take City Road Exit Beenleigh (first exit after the Logan River). At the roundabout take the 5th exit to Blackbird Street. Continue along Blackbird Street until you see the entrance to the park, just before the road goes under the motorway. If heading north towards Brisbane along the Pacific motorway, take City Road Exit Beenleigh. At round about, take 2nd exit to Blackbird Street. Continue along Blackbird Street until you see the entrance to the park - just before the road goes under the motorway. Please park in designated car parking areas. If car park area is full, follow the circuit around back to the entrance at Blackbird Street. Exit the park and turn left. Drive under the motor way to the boat ramp car park and walk along the path to the start location.
