About Us

Yulu-Burri- Ba’s Social Health program focuses on building the capacity of individuals and families to improve functioning and well-being through ongoing, targeted, case-managed services providing targeted, evidence based, therapeutic treatment. The provision of counselling, psychological services, human service supports and specific treatment for alcohol and other drug issues.

Social Health:

If you or someone you know is experiencing problems with mental health, struggling with interpersonal relationship or general social problem, come and have a yarn with the social health team. The Social health team provides a holistic approach to improve your overall wellbeing.

The social health team provides services for people around

  • Mental health
  • Social or family support
  • Alcohol and other drugs
  • Human service supports

The Social health team is made up of:

  • Case Managers
  • Helps individual and families to identify their needs, goals and the necessary resources to achieve these. This could include:
  • counselling support,
  • cultural support
  • housing/homeless support,
  • legal matters
  • financial literacy
  • Referrals to internal services including Family wellbeing, allied health etc.  
  • advocacy to external services  
  • Psychologists
  • Psychologist are experts in human behaviour and work with clients to understand their thoughts, feelings and behaviour. They can help you with mental health diagnosis, relationship problems, grief and loos, chronic pain management, motivation. 
  • Child and family Psychologist
  • Provide therapeutic intervention to assist children and teenager who experience emotional and/or behavioural issues. Our child psychologist, works in collaboration with the family by providing tools to help alleviate symptoms.     

How to access this service?

There are two pathways:

  1. GP referral – Book in an appointment with YBB GP and request for a social health referral.
  2. Self-referral – Present to clinic reception to request for an appointment with a case manager. 

What to expect:

There is no cost to seek support from the social health program.  Social health case manager will contact you as soon as possible to schedule an initial consultation to support your immediate concerns to improve your emotional health and wellbeing.

Walk-in slots are available across three clinic 

Monday to Friday: 

Slot 1: 10am to 11am 

Slot 2: 2 pm to 3 pm.
