• Indigenous Health Workers are situated in Queensland Health Community Health Centres in Atherton, Mareeba, Mount Garnet, Malanda and Ravenshoe Their role is to: •Provide client support and advice •Identify and monitor health problems •Refer to appropriate service provider •Respect persons' individual needs, values and culture •Respect the rights of persons to informed choices in relation to their care •Network with other health professionals and organisations •Advocate for clients •Carry out Health Education and Promotion
