About Us
Elder Rights Advocacy supports older people, their families, and representatives in Victoria to address issues related to aged care services. Our advocates provide free independent and confidential information and advocacy. At Elder Rights Advocacy we also deliver the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), a social-based program for people who could benefit from having a dedicated volunteer visitor. We connect older people with caring volunteers for friendship and companionship. Visits are relaxed and social, focusing on conversations, sharing a hobby or interest, and having fun together. If you enjoy spending time with older people and have 1 or 2 hours a week to volunteer, we'd love to hear from you. Together we can reduce loneliness and social isolation for older people across the region.
