About Us

The library provides a range of books and other materials for relaxation and information. These include spoken word cassettes and videos, large print books, reference materials, encyclopedias, atlases, etc (not for loan but may be consulted in the library), local study collection (covers life in the Shire from settlement to the present day), magazine and periodicals are available for loan except the most recent issue, musical scores and play sets may be requested through the State Library Service and jigsaws.Other services - our Books on Wheels service is regular and free for anyone who is elderly and incapacitated and finds it impossible to visit the library. Story telling sessions for preschoolers are held regularly. Community groups may advertise their activities on the community notice board. A self service photocopier is available at all libraries. Meeting and exhibition areas are available for hire at Kalamunda and Forrestfield libraries.
