About Us

In mid-2006, as part of the health reform in Western Australia, King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) joined with other women's based health services to form the new Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS), as part of the wider North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) hospital and health services network.

As the State’s only tertiary maternity and gynaecological hospital, and Western Australia’s only major referral centre for complex pregnancies, KEMH offers the highest standards of maternity, neonatal and gynaecological care.

With dedicated staff and best practices based on the most current evidence-based medicine, KEMH continues to deliver first-class health care to women and infants in Western Australia.
