Health Care Consumers' Association ACT (HCCA)

Health promotion organisation with a mission to deliver better health outcomes through consumer empowerment, to enable consumers to be in control of their own health. Supports and develops health consumer perspectives and policy in the ACT.

Provides health care consumers with the opportunity to participate in health policy, planning and service delivery decisions. Encourage consumers to identify priorities issues of concern relating to health and formally convey these collective views to the ACT Government.

Works with consumers through: consumer representation; consultative fora; information sessions; regular communications with members and networks; advocating consumer perspectives in health policy; researching consumers experience of health care.
