About Us
Tenancy Support
Supportive Tenancy Service (STS) Tenancy Support works with people whose tenancy is at risk. STS tenancy support workers will talk to you about your situation, exploring options and working out a plan. They can:
- Make referrals for specialist legal or financial advice
- Link you to other services
- Advocate with property managers and other parties, and
- Support you through the steps required to sustain your tenancy.
Tenancy Support covers any type of tenancy: public housing, private rental, mortgage.
STS cannot provide support letters for people without prior or ongoing contact with the service, or financial support, payments or emergency relief. However, can provide information about what services might be able to assist.
See Tenancy Options listing if looking for a new tenancy.
Supportive Tenancy Service covers all of Canberra.
Referrals are made via OneLink: 1800 176 468; www.onelink.org.au.
Supportive Tenancy Service is a partnership between Belconnen Community Service, Woden Community Service and YWCA Canberra.
This service receives funding under the National Affordable Housing Agreement (NAHA) and/or the National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness (NPAH), which are jointly funded by the ACT and Australian Governments.
