Hands on Studio

Hands On Studio is a community based art studio that provides opportunities for people with a disability to enhance their artistic skills while meeting and working with other artists.

Our professional art classes and person-centred practice offers a stimulating learning environment where people have the opportunity for fun, skill development, experimentation and self-expression.

Hands On is situated within the M16 studio and gallery complex. Our students are encouraged and supported to view their art practice in a professional manner and regularly contribute to local exhibitions.

Hands on studio promotes:

· Development of artistic skills

· Confidence & self esteem

· Development of social skills

· Freedom in making choices & confidence in those choices

· A sense of personal achievement through the creation and exhibition of artwork

Entry Requirements:

- Be over 15 years of age

- Have a disability

- Reside in the ACT

Services delivered under NDIS – community participation within a center based program
