About Us

Mai-Wel’s Social, Community and Creative Pathways (SCCP) provide opportunities for NDIS participants to build confidence, independence and connection through creative, social and community-based activities.

With more than 65 years of experience supporting people across the Hunter Region, Mai-Wel creates welcoming environments where participants can explore their interests, express creativity and develop skills that enrich daily life.

SCCP at Cessnock provides:

  • Individual and group activities focused on creativity, skill development and community participation
  • Opportunities to explore art, music, cooking, wellbeing and recreational experiences
  • Support to build daily living skills and confidence in new environments
  • Inclusive spaces that encourage connection, belonging and personal achievement
  • Guidance from qualified support workers who tailor activities to each participant’s NDIS goals

Mai-Wel’s creative and community programs are flexible and person-centred, designed to help participants gain new experiences, meet people with shared interests and work toward individual aspirations.
