Indooroopilly Chamber Orchestra

We play mainly pieces from the classical repertoire and we cater for players of all ages and level of ability.

We rehearse most Thursday Nights from 7.00 to 9.30  at St David’s Church Hall, Chelmer St East, Chelmer.  

The orchestra started over fifty years ago in Indooroopilly as a family musical group which played in family homes. From there it grew to the Indooroopilly Chamber Orchestra (ICO), an incorporated Community Orchestra.

We generally put on two or three public concerts each year and also play at special events, including the Christmas Festival at the St Gerard Majella Catholic Church.   Our repertoire comprises classical overtures, symphonies and concertos and some baroque and contemporary music.   We also organise one or two informal concerts a year for chamber music at which members are invited to submit  items.
