Migrant Womens Emergency Support Service Inc

The Immigrant Womens Support Service offers emotional support, practical assistance, referrals, counselling and court support to women of non - English speaking backgrounds in domestic violence and sexual assault situations. Assistance is provided in legal, financial, health and accommodation matters through advocacy and support. The service also aims to promote community awareness of the issues faced by women of non - English speaking backgrounds in domestic and sexual assault situations. Training is provided to other service providers in relation to cross-cultural work, working with interpreters and making your service more accessible amongst others.
